Graffitis around Treasure Hill Artist Village

There are many cases in which graffiti art reproduces the common characters in daily life. For example, graffiti artist NOE integrated “Pipakun”, the unique mascot of the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department, into his works, intending to play the irony of the confrontation between graffiti and the law.

Otherwise, NOE’s Pipokun has also transferred the image from street art to commercial, sub-cultural products. NOE had stopped selling the products since 2019 because he considered they had become too widespread and commercialized, which led to the loss of its essence.
