"AIR 10 X10" is the theme of AIR Taipei10^th anniversary,we will display 10 works of art in Taipei Artist Village to celebrate the first Artist Village in Taiwan for 10 years. Recalling "Ubiquitous" the theme of AIR Taipei 5^thanniversary, From the Taipei Artist Village (TAV) which is located in the central of Taipei city to the Grass Mountain Arts Village (GAV) and the Treasure Hill Artist Village (THAV) which launched one year ago, all three sites co-operate with each other through diverse landscape, scale and location yet each site helps place the arts firmly in the cultural sights for a local and international audience.

Since the inception of AIR Taipei over the past decade, we spread art to every corner of Taipei without borders, looking forward to the future withthe passionthat we brought when we establishedvillage in the beginning. Because we deeplybelieve that art is ubiquitous in our lives.

AIR 10X10

The first "10" means years that AIR Taipei operated from 2001 to 2011.
The second "10" implies the distance that10 multi-cultural works of art, which will be displayed from the lobby to the roof.

And the letter “X” between the first “10” and the second “10” represents the energy of “Art-in-Residence” and the “identification of multi-cultural.” Furthermore, the “X” has much more meanings. It not only means the multiplication of passion for art, but also implies those artists who try their best to work, waiting for the chance to radiate.  

"AIR 10X10" will display 6 temporary works about "multi-cultural identity" in Barry Room, and 4 permanent works about "the space of Art-in-Residence," There are various artists who come from Taiwan, Thailand, United States, UK, Philippines, and Czech Republic to join the show. The performance methods include painting, graffiti, photography, lighting, decoration, printing and so on. Cross-field art works were utilized to respond to the development history of the artist village in the past decade and the communication between Taiwaneseand international artists. The Artist Village exists because of the “Art.” Moreover, there are many moving pieces of works appear due to the creation of artists who resident in the village.                                                                        

    "Artist-in-Resident Taipei ," has officially entered the tenth year in October. Furthermore, Treasure Hill Village and Art Village will hold a series of celebrating activities. "AIR 10X10," the 10^th anniversary of Artist-in-Residence Taipei, invited everyone who believes that art exists all around to celebrate this big event with us.
